What is the correct grip for every golfer?
The one that allows you to hold your club, as Sam Snead related, like you are holding a baby bird in your hands. This is, of course, grip pressure we refer to and has also been described as holding a full tube of toothpaste just trying to squeeze a bit out. I also describe the correct grip pressure as holding your club at about a 4 on a scale of 10. So you now have three great visuals to help you during your next practice session… But wait, you can’t hold on this lightly ‘cause your club’s grips are too slippery! There is still time to re-grip your set – it only takes a day or two – and when you come to Golf Etc we have a huge selection of grips to choose from and will “grip-fit” to ensure the correct size and style for your game.

We had a fellow in here last week with “fitted” grips – larger than jumbo actually – and the Vector Pro showed him slicing away, 3000 – 4000 sidespin rpms in fact. We fit him into a midsize grip and his slice spin dropped to under 1000! He was ecstatic! Size of grip is a major key to ball flight control. What size glove do you wear? Don’t wear a glove?
